Shivakameswariki Atma Nivedanam

Shivakameswariki Atma Nivedanam is collection of devotional songs written by Smt.Neppalli Jayapradadevi, one of the dearest shishyas of Smt.Indumathi devi.

Smt Indumathidevi, wife of Late.Shri.Gabbita Janakiramayya was ordinary house wife at Machlipatnam, Andhrapradesh. When she was 32 years old Shrimatha Parashakthi descended in her house by the name Goddess Adhilakshmi Shivakameshwari and stayed there accepting the shodashopachaara poojas everyday.

Through the grace of Goddess Adhilakshmi Shivakameshwari and her guru Smt.Indumathidevi for Smt.Neppalli Jayapradadevi these compositions came forth as Ashukavithas since her young age.  Her mudra for these songs are "Shivakameshwari". These songs are mostly on goddess Shri Adilakshmi Shivakameswari. Some songs are on Lord Shiva, Lord Ganapathi, Lord Vishnu, Goddess Lakshmi,Lord Subrahmanya and Guru. Some songs she is addressing to her mind.

Smt.Chavali Ravikantha residing in Chennai is an ardent devotee and dearest shishya of Sri.Ogirala Veeraraghava sharmagaru of Kovvur, West Godavari Dt. In mid 1990s Smt.Neppalli Jayaprada Devi's daughter Mrs.Padmaja Prasad Desiraju  got introduced to Smt.Chavali.Ravikanta for learning music. Overwhelmed by the music of Smt.Chavali Ravikantha, Mrs.Padmaja requested the former to set tunes to her mother's poems. While reading the poems, Smt.Chavali Ravikantha got inspired and  as the outcome of her intense gurubhakthi about 500 of these poems have been set to tune in various appropriate classical ragas. Her tunes are full of atmaartha bhavam causing joy  to the listeners.

Here we have published around 300 songs, music composed and sung by Smt.Chavali.Ravikantha with lyrics. The recoding of these songs were done in the house only considering the age of the singer. As most of these songs are in Telugu language we have given the lyrics in Telugu. For the benefit of non-Telugu reading persons, we have given the lyrics in Devanagari script and English also.
