Sri Ogirala Veeraraghava Sharmagaru was one of the very great musicians of 20th century and a naadayogi. He was a Vaggeyakara of eminence. A great Devotee of Goddess Gayathri Devi. He has composed many kirthanas on Devi spontaneously and they are direcet conversation with Goddess. His compositions are full of Sahithya Bhava and Sangeetha rasa and also give the experience of a great relief to those who render them. His song bear the mudra "raghava" or "gyanaananda theertha" which is his deekshaanaamam.
